Altitude: 286 m above the seal level (centre of the square), 330 m above the sea level - the Hill of Slaný

Location:

The royal town of Slaný lies in the district of the Peruc Table, which forms the north-western part of the geo-morphological area called the Prague Platform. Its dominant feature is the Hill of Slaný. The town lies approx. 25 km north west of Prague. There are five main roads leading to the town - from Prague, from Louny, from Velvary, from Litoměřice, from Smečno.

On December 29, 1984 Slaný was declared a municipal monument reservation.
